Counseling for Anxiety

Anxiety is very normal response to daily life stress.

When symptoms of Anxiety feel like they are interfering with your life it’s time to reach out for help.  You’ll learn about anxiety and how to calm it in the moment. I’ll help you learn to recognize the “early warning signs”, triggers of your anxiety,  and help you learn to work your way around your anxiety, thinking your way to a calm, state of mind.

Common symptoms that you may be feeling or happening to you:

Excessive worry (can’t get your mind off the worry)

Feeling Agitated (this may feel like racing heart, sweaty palms)

Restlessness (feeling on edge, not able to relax)

Thinking about all the things that could go wrong before they even happen?

Do you have trouble falling asleep at night because the “what ifs”  take over?

Difficulty concentrating/lack of short term memory

Feeling irritable/easily agitated by those around you

Therapy with a skilled and warm therapist can help with anxiety because there’s no judgment here, just a calm acceptance of you as you are, as we delve into understanding your needs.

It’s not a one-size-fits-all.  My approach deals with both relieving your symptoms and a deep understanding of the the causes.  I am committed to providing an atmosphere of warmth and understanding, in an interactive experience of mutual listening and talking.

The counseling I offer is based on a real and empathetic relationship, and you will start to feel better over time from being thoroughly understood, learning that your situation is not hopeless, and learning to be in control of your thoughts and feelings.
